MercyMe – Bring the Rain

“Bring The Rain”

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I’ve gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You

Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It’s never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times

So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there’ll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that’s what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain

I am Yours regardless of
The clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what’s a little rain

So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there’ll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that’s what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain

Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Is the Lord God Almighty

Everybody’s singing
Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Is the Lord God Almighty

Helpful scripture:

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. -Romans 8:17

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. -James 1:12

    1. I’m so glad you liked this one, it’s my song right mow 😉 Check out their song ‘beautiful’ and also ‘hurt and the healer’. PS Brooklin is doing great!!!!! She’s back at work 🙂 thank you for asking about her.

    1. 🙂 I just love this one so much – Right now it’s really speaking to me, too. With all that’s going on in my life, I’m like, “Ok, Jesus, I can do this and I’ll be stronger for you – So, bring the rain!” xo

  1. Great post Ericka, hope all is well with you. With God all things are possible for we are conquers in the name of Jesus. Please pray for me as I travel to Wellsville to serve the Lord at the Wellsvillle Family Worship Center Food Pantry. As people come in to get food, I talk to them and pray for them if they ask. Have a wonderful day. God bless you. I can only Imagine.
